Drugs haul worth £30,000 seized

Police in Londonderry have seized controlled drugs with a total value of about £30,000.

The drugs, which include suspected cocaine, were found during the search of residential property in the Waterside on Wednesday night. A number of people arrested at the scene continue to assist police with their enquiries.

Chief Inspector Alan Hutton said: “This was a significant find and has taken potentially dangerous drugs of the streets of Londonderry. Police in the city remain focussed on tackling illegal drugs issues within the justice system in order to keep people safe.”
