Drugs seized from boat at Carrick Marina

Police seized a quantity of drugs from a vessel at Carrickfergus Marina yesterday (Monday).

Detailing the operation, a Police Mid and East Antrim spokesperson said: “Officers from the Tactical Support Unit boats boarded a vessel located at Carrickfergus Marina.

“This vehicle was subsequently searched and a quantity of drugs were seized.

“Our TSG officers are trained in a range of specialist tactics and deliver a highly versatile mobile resource supporting their colleagues across all of Northern Ireland.

“Drug dealing funds criminality, and we will continue to use our plethora of resources to tackle this issue, whether it’s on land or sea. Enquiries are ongoing.”
