Drum Majors host charity event in aid of children’s charity

SOME of the world’s top pipe bands are among the acts lined up for a special fundraising night in aid of the Children’s Heartbeat Trust at Dungannon Swifts Football Club next weekend.

Organised by well known Drum Major, Laura Jane Lawson, herself a champion in her chosen field, the event - which takes place next Friday night, April 27 - will feature performances from the Field Marshall Montgomery Mini Pipe Band, the Sgt White Memorial Flute Band, Syerla Pipe Band Drumcore, and Tullylagan Pipe Band.

Also performing on the night will be Bella Voce Junior Choir, Aughnagurgan Scottish Dancers, and LJ’s Drummajor Academy.

All Drum Majors performing will be from Tullylagan Pipe Band.

Laura Jane, who has organised the event to raise money for a charity which holds a special place in her own heart, has welcomed everyone to come along and enjoy a great night out.

Entertainment will get underway from 8pm. Compere for the evening is Eric Patterson
