Drunken punch-up after the pub

A Banbridge man caught fighting with another man in the street, had been bound over to keep the peace for two years in the sum of £500.

Sean Cunningham from Grove Hill, Banbridge appeared before the local court last Thursday charged with disorderly behaviour.

The twenty-seven year-old came to the attention of police on 15 December last at Bridge Street, Banbridge when he was spotted with another male throwing punches at each other.

The court heard that alcohol was a factor.

A solicitor said Cunningham “regretfully found himself before the court.”

“He involved himself unnecessarily and apologises.”

As part of the binding over order, Cunningham was prohibited from drunken and disorderly behaviour and warned by the Judge not to get involved in any more “drunken punch-ups after the pub.”
