Estimated £135,000 worth of drugs seized at Ballymena Cannabis ‘farm’

Police have arrested two men, aged 48 and 18, on suspicion of cultivating Cannabis and Possession of Class B Drugs with intent to supply following the discovery of an estimated £135,000 worth of cannabis plants in the Deerfin Road area of Ballymena.

The seizure of the plants came following a planned operation on Monday) evening. The men are being questioned by detectives at present.

Detective Inspector Richard Carmichael said: “This operation was successful in taking a vast quantity of drugs off the streets and is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle the devastating impact of drugs on our communities.
