Farmer convicted at Strabane Court

Fines of £450 were imposed at Strabane Court on an Artigarvan farmer charged with failing to keep proper records.

Richard Black, Moorlough Road, was convicted on Thursday of one charge of failing to notify the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the movement of 32 bovine animals off his holding, one charge of failing to keep a Herd Register and one charge of failing to produce a Veterinary Medicine Record in accordance with the Regulations.

He pleaded guilty and was fined £450 plus £40 costs and a £15 levy.
