Fined for fisheries offences

A Larne man has been found guilty this week of fisheries offences.

Derek Ferguson of Portland Place, Larne, was found guilty at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

He was charged with unlicenced angling, unauthorised entry on several fishery and using an unlawful method of angling.

The defendant was fined a total of £225 – £75 for each offence and costs of £200, an offender levy of £15 and court costs of £16.
