Fired buckfast bottle police vehicle
Two prison terms were handed down to a 28-year-old man last Friday at Craigavon Court.
Liam Lavery, Ardowen, Craigavon, was given three months for disorderly behaviour on August 31 last year and four months, to run concurrently, for assault on the police. The court heard that at 1am a police patrol in William St, Lurgan, saw the defendant drinking from a bottle of Buckfast. Lavery refused to hand it over and walked across the street before throwing the bottle at a police vehicle. A barrister representing the defendant said he had no recollection of the incident.
