GBH: Man in court
A 21-year-old male will be appearing in Londonderry Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, June 23, charged with the offences of wounding with intent to cause GBH and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with an assault that occurred yesterday morning.
The incident took place near a bus stop on Strand Road, Londonderry, near the junction with Great James’ Street.
A PSNI spokesman said a 33-year-old male required treatment at hospital as a result of his injuries.
A 33-year-old female also arrested in relation to the same assault has been bailed pending further enquiries. Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault to contact Strand Road Police Station.
