Girl hospitalised after Newtownabbey hit and run

Police are appealing for information after a young female was hospitalised following a hit and run road traffic collision in Newtownabbey.

The incident took place in the Ballyduff Road area on Tuesday, June 2.

Appealing for information, Sergeant McAleese said: “Shortly before 2.55pm, it was reported that a female youth was struck by a car as she was cycling in the area. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to her injuries.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police, to help with our investigation.
