Girl hospitalised after Newtownabbey hit and run

The incident took place in the Ballyduff Road area on Tuesday, June 2.

Appealing for information, Sergeant McAleese said: “Shortly before 2.55pm, it was reported that a female youth was struck by a car as she was cycling in the area. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to her injuries.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police, to help with our investigation.

“Anyone with any information about this incident or who may be able to help with our investigation, is asked to call us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1233 02/06/20, or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/
