Hoax bomb call man in court

At Londonderry Magistrates Court today, Monday, a 43-year-old man from the city appeared charged with making hoax bomb calls.

Before the Court was Phillip Calvin Kinsella, from Great James Street, who admitted two charges of communicating information to the police, namely that there was a bomb inside Strand Road police station.

Kinsella also admitted one further charge of misusing a communications network.

The Magistrates Court was told that all three offences were committed on June 20, 2011.

Following an outline of the case against him, Kinsella was released on bail and is to be sentenced in September.
