Hunt for suspicious vehicle with no number plate and two flat tyres

Police are searching for a vehicle, with no number plate and two flat tyres, which has been acting suspiciously across NI in recent days.

As well as sitings in several NI towns, the suspicious vehicle has been spotted calling into rural yards.

The PSNI said that despite ‘extensive patrols’ it has so far been unable to locate it.

Sightings have been reported in Belfast, Banbridge, Katesbridge, Portadown and most recently today in Gilford.

Constable Ross Thompson said: “The latest report is that the vehicle was driving with no number plates and with two flat tyres calling into rural yards.

“The vehicle is a light blue coloured Volkswagen Golf Plus.

“Any sightings of this vehicle please call 101 and give reference number 1865 of the 4th February.”
