Latest: 100 bags of coal stolen

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a significant amount of coal from premises in the Glasgort Road area of Aghadowey.

Commenting on the incident Constable Adrian Gillan said: “Sometime between 5.00pm on Thursday, October 24 and 4.30pm on Friday, October 15, 100 bags of Black Emerald 20KG bags of coal were stolen from the premises.

“I would ask anyone who may have noticed any suspicious vehicles in the vicinity or who has any information to contact Police at Coleriane on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
