Latest: Trailer boat stolen from West Strand

Police are investigating the theft of a trailer boat and container of boating accessories including life jackets from the West Strand, Portrush.

Constable Sharon McGowan said: “The theft is thought to have happened early in September but was only recently reported to police.

“The boat trailer is described as a 2001 “Snipe” model for a Dory boat and the container was orange in colour and had life jackets and outer jackets inside. The value of the items suspcted to have been stolen value a total of £2,100.

Const McGowan added: “Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered these items for sale since early September. Please call the non 101 emergency number if you have any information that might assist the investigation.”
