Lorry driver forced to pull off road after eggs and fruit are thrown at windscreen

A lorry driver was forced to pull off the A4 dual carriage at Dungannon after fruit and eggs were thrown at the windscreen.

Fruit and eggs caused significant damage to the windscreen of a lorry forcing the driver to pull off the A4 dual carriageway, near Dungannon, according to Mid Ulster police.

They are appealing for witnesses to the incident or drivers with dashcam footage to contact them.

In a social media post the damage was caused to vehicles travelling on the A4, Woodlough Road in Dungannon between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday, September 22.

They say the fruit and eggs were thrown off the Cravenny Road overpass onto the dual carriageway.

"Luckily on this occasion the driver was able to get the vehicle safely of the carriageway before any accident occurred," the post reads.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact police on 101 quoting serial 1917 of the 22/09/20.
