Machete and balaclavas found

The PSNI said they were told of four men acting suspiciously in Glenavon, Mourneview Estate at 2.36am on Friday, 1 August.

Officers attended and saw two men. One ran off down a laneway and the second was stopped by police.

A balaclava was located in the immediate area and a bag containing a balaclava, hood and sheathed machete were found in the laneway.

A 24 year old man was arrested for going equipped.

He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
