Police arrested a male in the Maghera area at the weekend for what they describe as "numerous drug offences.”

Mid Ulster PSNI said officers from Magherafelt Local Policing Team also seized suspected cocaine as well as suspected methanpetamine with a combined estimated street value of £15,500.

"We wish to reassure the public Magherafelt police remain fully committed in tackling the scourge of drugs in our communities and will continue to take appropriate action to disrupt the activity of anyone involved in the drugs trade."
