Male was assaulted and had bike stolen in Templepatrick

Police have issued an appeal for information about a robbery and assault in Templepatrick, Co Antrim.

The incident occurred on Monday, July 20, when the PSNI responded to a robbery after a group of five males assaulted another male on his bike around the Templeton Mausoleum in Templepatrick.

The suspects took the victim’s silver Voodoo mountain bike and headed towards the Antrim Road direction.

Police Antrim and Newtownabbey yesterday (Thursday) issued an appeal for any witnesses who may have seen the altercation to contact them.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “These suspects are described as being aged around 18-20 years old. One of these males had brown hair and was wearing a black adidas hoodie and black trousers. A second male had brown hair and was clean shaven, described as stout and wearing a blue T-shirt.

“If you witnessed this incident or saw the suspects leaving the scene, please contact Police on 101 and quote reference number 2434 of 20/07/20.”
