Man (38) arrested on suspicion of a series of burglaries at same Lisburn property

A man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences following a burglary at residential premises in the Tonagh Drive area of Lisburn on Tuesday (November 12).

Detective Sergeant Cargin said: “At around 3:30am, it was reported to police that entry was gained to the rear of a property in the area. It was reported that a male entered the property and removed an item. A man in his 70s, who was inside the property at the time, was not injured.

“A 38-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of this burglary, and three further instances of burglary at the same address on previous occasions this year. He remains in police custody at this time.

“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 276 12/11/24."
