Man abandons car in Coalisland after fleeing police

Police said they came across the driver while out on patrol in the Coalisland area on Saturday, October 29.

They explained how LPT and NPT officers came across the car (pictured) driving in a dangerous fashion before it sped off from officers and was abandoned by the driver - who fled on foot.

Police said: "The passenger wasn't so fast and was then arrested. The car which was suspected to have been stolen has since been seized."

They are however appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to phone 101 quoting reference number 1405 of 29 October 2016.
