A Cookstown man has been charged with making threats to kill another male.

Curtis Burnside (24), of Beechway, also faces charges of damaging a car wheel, common assault, and possessing an offensive weapon, a bottle, at Churchtown Road, Cookstown, on October 9.

A police officer told Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday that he believed he could connect the defendant to the charges.

District Judge Oonagh Mullan adjourned the case until December 2 for attitude.

Stephen Atherton, solicitor, represented Burnside.
