Man arrested over Moira bomb is released

A man who was arrested over a 1998 car bomb attack on Moira police station has been released from custody.

Seven police officers were among 11 people injured when the 500lb bomb exploded outside the police station on 20 February 1998.

It caused extensive damage to the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) station and also damaged nearby houses and cars

The 47-year-old, who was arrested in Dungannon, County Tyrone, on Wednesday, has been released unconditionally.

Last December, a 43-year-old man was arrested in Moy, County Tyrone, and questioned over the same attack.

He was also released unconditionally.
