Man assaulted
Police in Strand Road are appealing for information following an assault on a 43-year-old man in the Ringfort Road area of Derry in the early hours of Thursday, October 31.
At approximately 4am as the injured party was walking along the road he was approached from behind by a number of males who knocked him unconscious. He received injuries to his mouth, face and head, requiring hospital treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or anyone who has any information to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
