Man caught on child’s quad bike
A disqualified driver caught on a child’s quad bike was given a three-month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months by Londonderry District Judge Barney McElholm.
Donald Fitzpatrick (27), of Liscloon Drive, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and having no insurance on October 30, last year.
Police were on patrol in the Shantallow area and saw Fitzpatrick riding a quad bike with a small child on his lap.
Suspending sentence, District Judge McElholm also fined Fitzpatrick £100.
