Man denies assault charges
A man will go on trial after he denied four charges relating to an alleged assault on a woman in March this year.
Philip Martin Porter (52), of Elaghmore Park is charged with wounding a female with intent to do her grievous bodily harm, as well as making threats to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the same woman, as well as possessing an offensive weapon namely a glass vodka bottle. He denies all four charges and a trial date was set for November 3 for trial. He was released on continuing bail.
