Man had grinder full of cannabis

A Castledawson man was given a Conditional Discharge for 12 months at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on a drugs charge.

David William Bradley (29), from Moyola Avenue in the village, was accused of possessing cannabis on August 20 last year.

A Prosecution lawyer said the defendant was found with a grinder full of the drug.

Defence solicitor Stephen Atherton said he had been hoping that the prosecution offer a caution.

District Judge Oonagh Mullan made an order for the destruction of the drug.
