Man injured in attack by gang of males in NI town

Police have launched a probe after a gang of men attacked another man in an NI town.

The PSNI said the man was attacked at commercial premises in Portadown on Sunday afternoon.

Detectives have appealed for information on the assault.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report at around 3.00pm that a man had been assaulted by a number of males in commercial premises in the Church Street area on Sunday afternoon.

“During the altercation the victim sustained a minor wound.

“Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1228 of 14/06/20.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
