Man is injured during Lurgan assault

Police are hunting for two men after a man was assaulted in Lurgan.

The incident happened on Wellington Street on Sunday at around 7.30pm.

Constable Andy Jackson said: “A 44-year-old man was assaulted by two other males.

“He sustained facial injuries which required medical treatment,” said the PSNI officer.

“We are keen to speak to the driver of a silver motor vehicle which drove past as the assault was taking place.

“The car slowed down and beeped its horn,” he told the MAIL.

“We are asking the occupants of the car, or anyone who witnessed the assault, to contact us in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 981 310515.”
