Man shot in the knee in Newtownabbey

Police are appealing for information after a shooting incident in the New Mossley area of Newtownabbey on Wednesday evening.

Speaking last night, Inspector Julian Buchanan said: “At 7.05pm this evening, police received a report that a male had been shot in the right knee. The male, aged in his fifties has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which, at this time do not appear to be life threatening, but have the potential to be life changing.

“Our enquiries are at an early stage, and I appeal to anyone with information to call detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1690 of 18/11/20.
