McLaughlin is further charged with the possession of firearms with intent to endanger life on October 16.

A barrister who appeared for the defence told the court that it was accepted there is a case for his client to answer.

McLaughlin declined to say anything in answer to the charges when asked.

McLaughlin was remanded in custody to appear at Belfast Crown Court for arraignment, and is to appear in court on December 5.
