Man told Garda he’d put a bullet in them

A Buncrana man who told Gardai he would put a bullet in their heads has appeared at Buncrana District Court on a number of charges on various dates last year.

Aaron Bradley(19) of Straboe, Buncrana was charged with offencees on March 31, at Main Street, Buncrana; May 11, 2014 at Letter, Fahan and Ardaravan, Buncrana; on July 31, 2014 at Main Street, Buncrana and August 3, 2014 at Main Street, Clonmany.

On March 31 he shouted “w---ers” at Gardai; on August 3 at Main Street and Gaddyduff brae, Clonmany during the festival, while Gardai were arresting a person Bradley shouted “I’m going to put a bullet in your heads” and on May 11, at 8.10pm, Gardai stopped a van in which Bradley, a passenger, was not wearing a seatbelt. A fixed penalty notice was issued but not paid.

Also on May 11, at 7.20pm, Gardai stopped Bradley, the driver of an Audi car, and asked him to produce his licence and insurance, which he later failed to do so.

On July hoarding at Main Street, Buncrana was damaged and CCTV identified Bradley as the culprit.

Judge Paul Kelly ordered Bradley to pay 500 Euro in compensation on the public order and criminal damage offences, which was given to St Vincent De Paul, Buncrana, and he imposed a Probation Order for those charges and the disorderly conduct. Bradley was also fined 200 Euro for the no insurance charge and he was warned he would deal with him differently if he re-offended.
