Man tried to head butt officer

A Limavady man has appeared in court accused of attempting to head butt a police officer.

Thomas Brolly, of Coolessan Walk, is charged with assaulting and resisting police on January 28, and the offences took place while on bail for other offences.

He breached the conditions of this bail by consuming alcohol and being out past his curfew. This was the second breach of bail in less than a week.

During arrest Brolly resisted police and attempted to head butt an officer.

Brolly was remanded until February 11.
