Men questioned

DETECTIVES from Serious Crime Branch investigating the murders of Hugh and Jacqueline McGeough in Craigavon last year are questioning three men.

An 18 year old man was arrested in the Craigavon area on Wednesday while a 31 year old man and a 46 year old man were transferred to police custody from prison, following a court application. They are being questioned at Ardmore police station in Newry.

Police are renewing their appeal for information about the murders of the couple who were found shot in their home at Legahory Court, Craigavon, on 7 March last year.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at the Special Incident Room at Mahon Road on 028 38 366 366 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Harkness, said: “Our enquiries lead us to believe there are people who have information about these murders or who know who was involved. I would ask those people to contact our special incident room.”
