Mr Quinn’s body was discovered in a flat at Ashleigh Park in the Woodburn area of the Co Antrim town on Saturday, January 4.

Ellen Quinn’s heartfelt plea was posted on the Justice for Glenn Quinn Facebook page last night (Wednesday).

Urging anyone with information about her son’s death to contact the PSNI, she said: “Glenn is my son, I never thought at my age I’d have to bury my child under such painful circumstances. No words can describe to you the pain I feel every single day at the loss of my Glenn.

“He was kindhearted and would have helped anybody out, everyone who knew Glenn loved him, I love him still. He was a big gentleman.

“These people beat and murdered Glenn for no reason at all, Glenn done nothing wrong! They are still free, walking about like it was nothing to them, everyone knows who they are. Their lives can go on as normal, mine can’t, because of them.”

Glenn’s mother added: “I ask all of you reading this, if you know anything at all or if you saw anything on the day Glenn was attacked, please contact the police and tell them what you know. This has to stop, Carrick has had enough of all of them. Maybe you can help that to happen.

“Thank you for all the love and support I’ve had, Glenn really did have good friends.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100 per cent anonymous.”
