Murder bid accused in custody at her own request

A woman accused of the attempted murder and false imprisonment of a man discovered in a bin in a park in Ballymena is in custody.

Paula Wilson (20), of Millfield, had initially been granted bail after being charged with the offences, which are alleged to have taken place on September 3.

However, at last week’s sitting of Ballymena Magistrates Court, a solicitor said that Wilson “had revoked her own bail” and was now in custody.

No new application for bail was made and she was remanded in custody to appear via videolink on October 3.

Two other co-accused - Teri Christopher Bernard Lau (26), of Dunclug Park, and David Roddy Patterson (26), of Glendun Drive - are in custody on attempted murder and false imprisonment charges.
