Newtownabbey police seize ‘substantial’ quantity of class A drugs

One person was arrested after police seized a “substantial” quantity of drugs in Newtownabbey yesterday (Wednesday).

It followed the stop and search of a vehicle in the area by Antrim and Newtownabbey District Support Team.

PSNI Antrim and Newtownabbey stated: “A suspect was arrested for various drug offences. A substantial amount of suspect class A drugs were seized.

“The suspect was arrested and is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
