Newtownabbey PSNI appeal after young cyclist struck by Jeep

Police are appealing for information in relation to a hit and run collision which occurred yesterday (Tuesday, January 11) at approximately 5.30pm in Newtownabbey.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The collision occurred at the Cloughfern Roundabout, on the O’Neill Road side.

“A young cyclist was struck whilst travelling along the zebra crossing.

“The vehicle involved is believed to be a silver/grey Jeep which failed to stop.

“Police are requesting for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or may have dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1469 of 11/01/2022.”
