Operation Christmas Child at Phoenix Integrated Primary School

PHOENIX IPS has been busy preparing ‘Christmas boxes’ for children in Haiti following the earthquake which devastated the country two years ago.

The project is managed by the charity Samaritan’s Purse and has supported children in many countries across the world. “This is a worthwhile project which encourages children to reach out and share with others,” said Mrs Watson, School Principal.

“As part of our integrated ethos and Personal Development programme we aim to develop the whole child, encouraging empathy and understanding for others.”

The children have worked with their families to put together the boxes and the response has been very positive.

We have received a high number of boxes and hope the children will enjoy receiving them as much as we have enjoyed putting them together.
