Pair arrested after Lurgan car crash

Two men, aged 21 and 24, have been arrested after a car was found crashed and abandoned in Lurgan.

Police attended a report of the crashed car at Francis St just after 3am this morning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The collision had caused damage to a lamp post and wall. Police traced the owner details of the car and on attending their house discovered it had been burgled whilst the residents were asleep.”

“Officers located two males a short distance from the scene of the abandoned car and arrested them for numerous offences relating to this incident. Both males are still in custody and our investigation is actively ongoing. If anyone has seen anything that may be helpful to our investigation please contact Lurgan Police on 101.”
