Poilce appeal after woman’s handbag stolen in Dunmurry

Police are investigating after a woman had her handbag snatched in Dunmurry at the weekend.

At around 5.15pm on Saturday, August 3, the victim was walking in Oakvale Gardens when she was approached by a male who grabbed her handbag from her shoulder.

The male then made off in the direction of Areema Drive.

The black Jimmy Choo bag contained a sum of cash and a quantity of jewellery.

The male is described as in his 20s, around 5’ 7” tall with dark eyebrows.

He was wearing a dark coloured top with the hood up, dark coloured bottoms possibly with white stripes down the legs.

It’s also believed he was wearing a gold sovereign ring.
