Police chief condemns grave theft as“disgraceful”

A COLERAINE police chief has described the theft from a grave in Coleraine as “disgraceful behaviour”.

Some time between 6pm on September 18 and 9am on September 19, items including a temporary plaque were stolen from a grave at cemetery in the Spittal Hill area.

Condemning those responsible, Chief Inspector Nicky Thompson said: “This is disgraceful behaviour and I ask the public for their help to catch those responsible. Anyone found interfering with graves will face the full rigours of the law.”
