The DUP representative said: “I have spoken to the PSNI about the video which has been widely shared across social media showing two vehicles racing at considerable speed around the town square.

“The footage shows one silver vehicle in particular skidding across the traffic lanes. They are putting themselves and others lives at serious risk by this reckless behaviour.

“At a time when our emergency services are under extreme pressure, this sort of anti-social behaviour is even more disgraceful and selfish.

“I would encourage anyone who recognises the vehicles or knows who was involved to get in touch with the PSNI on the non-emergency 101 number.”
