Police launch appeal after traffic cone thrown from A8 flyover

Police are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle caused by a traffic cone being thrown onto the A8 from a flyover last night (Tuesday).

Officers believe the incident occurred at around 9pm.

Appealing for witnesses, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Were you travelling on the A8 outside Larne last night at around 9pm?

“Police are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle caused by a traffic cone being thrown onto the road from the flyover.

“The outcome of this reckless behaviour could have been much worse. If you see people acting in this manner when you are out and about on your travels, please contact us when it is safe to do so.”
