Police officers escape injury when bricks are thrown at patrol car

Police escaped uninjured when bricks were thrown while they were on patrol in Dungannon last night.

The incident happened in the Ballygawley Road area of the town.

In a social media post, police said: "A group of individuals threw bricks and other objects at the patrol vehicle causing damage.

"At a time when social distancing and staying at home to save lives is critical to the community, this attack means the vehicle will be off the road for repairs and unable to respond to emergency incidents. Thankfully the officers were uninjured."
