Police presence in Birchdale
THE ‘MAIL’ received a report of a heavy police presence in the Birchdale area on Wednesday morning.
According to an eye-witness, a police jeep entered the estate at around 8.45am on Wednesday following by a second van carrying officers.
Police, however, had no record of any operations taking place in the Birchdale area. A PSNI spokesperson suggested they may have been in a convey going to an operation elsewhere.
