Police respond to reports of illegal scrambler use at Cave Hill

Police have conducted patrols at the Cave Hill Country Park in a bid to discourage the illegal use of scramblers and quads.

Detailing the patrols, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Parks can be very popular with local runners, dog walkers and families enjoying these beauty spots which are right on our doorsteps.

“The irresponsible riding of these machines on our roads and parks is not only illegal, but extremely dangerous.

“These off road machines should only be used on private land with the specific consent of the land owner. If you see this activity, please contact us on 101, or 999 in an emergency.”
