Police seek information after thefts and burglaries in Dromore area

POLICE in Banbridge are appealing for information following reports on Friday May 11 of a number of burglaries and thefts in the Dromore and Castlewellan areas.

Shortly before 7am Police received a report of a burglary at vacant premises in the Hillsborough Road, area, Dromore. It is not known if anything has been stolen. At approximately 4am two males were seen leaving the area in a red and white Landrover which was towing a horsebox.

At approximately 8.10am Police discovered the front door of commercial premises in the Hillsborough Road area, Dromore had been forced and the premises entered and a quantity of cash stolen.

Then, at approximately 9.07am, officers received a report of a burglary having occurred overnight at an outhouse in the Backaderry Road, Castlewellan and a Honda 420 quad bike stolen.

Later, at around 10.20am, Police received a report of the theft of a horse box from premises sometime the previous afternoon in the Carnalroe Road, Ballyward.

Finally, at approximately 3.10pm, Police received the report of the theft of a red and white Landrover in the Backaderry Road, Castlewellan. This Landrover was stolen some time during the night.
