Police seize drugs and cash during Carrick searches

Police officers seized £100,000 in cash as well as quantities of Class B and Class C drugs during searches in the Carrickfergus area over the last 24 hours.

Detailing the operation, a PSNI spokesperson said: “The team in Mid and East Antrim continue to be proactive in disrupting the sale and supply of illegal and dangerous drugs and tackling related criminality across the district.

“Two houses were searched by officers from Tactical Support Group in Carrick in the last 24 hours and four people searched. A quantity of Class B and Class C drugs were seized along with £100,000 in cash.

““Our enquiries into the matter are continuing. We are committed to acting on information from the community regarding those involved in the supply of drugs and working with our partners to keep you and your families safe.”
