Police seize quantity of Class A drug at Newtownabbey park

A quantity of a Class A drug was seized by police officers during a patrol at Hazelbank Park yesterday (Sunday).

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Some Newtownabbey Neighbourhood officers were out on cycle patrol today (March 14).

“It was good to engage with folk out enjoying their walks with their loved ones.

“Whilst cycling along Hazelbank coastal path, police had cause to stop two males. As a result of stopping and searching these males, an amount of Class A drug was located.
