Police take injured dog to vet in Larne after ‘collision’

Police have issued an appeal to trace the owner of a dog they believe was struck by a car in the Shane’s Hill Road area.

The injured animal was transported to Gleno Vets in Larne at the weekend.

Issuing the urgent appeal on social media on Saturday night, a PSNI spokesperson said: “A male collie dog, approximately six years old, was found injured on Shane’s Hill Road, Larne at around 11pm on Friday, October 2.

“The dog has injuries consistent with being struck by a car. Police have taken it to Gleno Vets, Larne. If this is your dog, or belongs to someone you know, please contact Gleno Vets urgently on 02828260602.”
